Travis Linford
Travis was born and raised on a farm half way between Semans and Raymore. He attended school from K to 12 in Semans. In 1998 he started training for his commercial pilots license at Mitchinson Flying Service in Saskatoon, and started work in LaRonge in May of 2000. Travis spent six years flying numerous aircraft around northern Saskatchewan, and lived in several northern communities, the majority of the time spent in LaRonge and Wollaston Lake. The experience he gained up there, set him up for his next stage of his flying career; the airlines. After a brief stint in Toronto with Air Canada Jazz, he joined WestJet in October of 2007, and remains there today. Travis has been flying the Boeing 737 out of Calgary for the last 17 years, and the last nine of them as a Captain. Travis still enjoy the challenges of the job, from dealing with weather and other issues, as well as the different cities he gets to experience.
Travis loves living the small town life. He’s been in Raymore with his beautiful wife Kelly for the last twenty years. He has two step kids, Raine, who is a teacher in Assiniboia, and Chase, who is an actor in Regina. Together, their son Kale is just finishing up his welding certification in Regina, and their daughter Paige is in Grade 11.
When Travis isn’t flying the Boeing 737, he enjoys spending time with his family, whether it is snowmobiling, or at their cabin at Last Mountain Regional Park. His favorite place is on the boat with a full load of family or friends doing water sports, or going on a sunset cruise. Travis has a passion for senior hockey and enjoys his winters as an executive member of the Raymore Rockets.
Travis is excited to join the Board of Directors of Raymore Credit Union. He’s looking forward to working with the great individuals on the Board and to continue to grow and strengthen the Credit Union onward.
