Is my Financial Institution Power of Attroney all I need?

Approximately 25 percent of credit union members in Canada are over the age of 65.  Credit union staff may find an increased need to discuss with their members the benefits of powers of attorney in the event of mental incapacitation.  Will the power of attorney that your member executed at their local financial institution be sufficient to handle all of their financial affairs?  The answer is most likely "no".
